GHS Math Team – 2020-21 Year in Review

Despite a year with Covid-related restrictions on meetings and learning formats (in-person/online), the GHS Math Team made a mark in their inaugural year.

Highlights

  • Took BOTH the AMC 10/12 A and the AMC 10/12 B for the first time in school history
  • AIME qualifier
  • Participated in Ohio Math League, reporting our scores for the first time since 2010.
    Team finished 19th in the state (against much larger schools). One team member tied for 8th in state as Individual.

  • Arete Labs Math Madness: The Covid restrictions made this online math competition ideal for challenging math teams around the country. In all, we challenged 10 other high schools from coast to coast, public and private, and had great success!
